The Communications Division operates a 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year statewide emergency communications systems, which includes seven centers.
The division provides emergency dispatch services for the Washington State Patrol, and 18 other State, Federal, and Tribal Agencies on contract basis including Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board, State Parks, U.
S.
Marshal and Muckleshoot Tribal Police.
Duties A Communications Officer 2's primary responsibility is to efficiently multi-task technologies answering emergency 911 and business phone calls, entering and updating calls for service and self initiated activity into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Computer system and transmitting and receiving radio communications from field personnel.
This Lead position assists supervisors as necessary, acts as a resource for communications personnel, and trains new Communications Officers in the Key Work Activities of their positions.
These critical responsibilities are the lifeline for officers in the field and the first contact with the public who report emergency situations requiring police, fire or medical response.
Officer and public lives are at risk without competent staff to appropriately respond to their needs.
Our new lead will be able to:
Train new employees to be successful communications officers Receive, relay, and dispatch emergency calls for service.
Dispatch services provided to line troopers and other state and federal agencies.
Provide assistance to the public via telephone or in person.
Answer emergency 9-1-1 calls, quickly assess, and determine services needed.
Utilize computer-aided dispatch (CAD).
Work with other law enforcement agencies and communications centers.
Qualifications Required
Qualifications:
Current WSP personnel with one year as a Communications Officer 1 within the last two years.
High School graduate or GED equivalent.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
