Production Supervisor, reporting to the Mine Manager located in Granite Falls, WA.
Key Targets of the Role Tasked with assisting the Mine Manager with directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities for a 1M ton/year operation comprising both Hard Rock and Sand and Gravel Operations.
Ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product.
Works with our customers and sales staff to meet business needs.
This position is also responsible for coordinating and directing many of the day-to-day activities at the quarry operation while maintaining the company's high standards.
What You'll Get to Do Establish annual goals, priorities, milestones, and timelines for production.
Supervise production for the plant location, and ensure we meet our production goals.
Develop and implement policies and procedures as required.
Collaborate with the team, departments, and management to achieve goals.
Monitor results and identify gaps based on goals.
Ensure all MSHA regulations are followed.
Continually analyze and identify areas for potential increased production.
Support and advise staff in training and problem-solving.
Schedule employees to ensure consistent production.
Identify maintenance items for the repair crew.
Essential Experience and Skills High School diploma, Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent, plus relevant work experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in progressive maintenance or equipment operation and supervisory roles.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Proven leadership skills and abilities with a unionized workforce Ability to obtain cooperation and influence others to work toward a common goal.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lead meetings.
Advanced problem-solving skills.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Equipment operation and production optimization experience.
